A new stand design - sporting the hallmark yellow livery that defines the corporate identity of contractworld - will sharpen up the focus on floors and floor coverings.
Here the visitor will be made very aware that the floor is the central medium on which, and through which, everything else happens and which underpins, figuratively and literally, all the functions and all the spaces within a building.
The colour varies through a range of tones, depending on the nature and surface texture of the different floor coverings. Space and function are defined by the floor itself bowing upwards in loops and folds, so that walls and ceilings fade into the background as elements in the interior design scheme.
New Stand Design for contractworld
The floor is truly the "star" of the contractworld 2008 display area. From fitted carpet to linoleum and cork, all the standard types of floor covering are laid in strips of varying widths, forming a visual representation for the visitor, just through their different tactile "feel", of the changing succession of individual "waves".
